Client Services Representative

SRECTrade is one of the largest Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) transaction and management firms in the industry, with over 12,000 solar assets under management. The company facilitates the brokerage of spot and forward contract SREC transactions in the over-the-counter markets. SRECTrade’s transaction and management platform allows buyers and sellers to seamlessly execute transactions across multiple SREC markets supported by efficient and effective technology solutions.

SRECTrade’s clients cover all market participants including, competitive electricity suppliers, utilities, project developers, PPA providers, leasing companies, installation firms, and individual commercial and residential system owners.

The software developed by SRECTrade is used by solar owners to track their SREC generation and issuance, manage and execute transactions, and enroll facilities with state regulators.

Since 2008, SRECTrade has been one of the leading sources for information regarding SREC price trends and legislative updates, bringing a wealth of knowledge and transparency to some of the fastest growing state markets in the solar industry.

Who we're looking for

With over 12,000 customers using our services to register, track and sell the SRECs produced by their solar facilities, premium client support and efficient operations are crucial to our business. In this role you will be responsible for managing day to day client service issues and operational tasks.

We are looking for someone with the technical skills to understand the complex processes associated with our operations, the attention to detail to execute vital monthly tasks and the ever-so-important knack for putting a smile on the face of the people he or she interacts with over the phone.

Responsibilities

Answer daily client support questions by phone and email

  • Assist in new client onboarding process including describing and selling services, completing solar facility applications, and setting up accounts
  • Facilitate client understanding and usage of SRECTrade online accounts
  • Provide solutions to client inquiries about account status and transactions

Account Management, Business Development and Sales

  • Maintain and manage existing relationships with solar installation partners
  • Identify and source new partnership candidates
  • Sell and demonstrate SRECTrade services in effort to sign up new partners

Understand, execute, and improve operational tasks

  • Help with monthly solar meter generation reporting and uploads
  • Support accounting efforts in reconciling SREC transactions and payments
  • Determine areas of inefficiency and identify improvements
  • Coordinate and work with operations, sales, and web development teams to help implement solutions and enhancements

Work in a team

  • Effectively communicate issues and create solutions with co-workers to advance our overall service and business
  • Find ways to work more efficiently in a small, fast-paced, and high performing environment

What we're looking for

Must haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or Communications is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor and a welcome presence with clients
  • Self-starter, strong sense of accountability, and determined to succeed both individually and within a team
  • Client service, sales, or operations experience is a plus, but we will consider other prior experience
  • Can do attitude. Happy to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. Willing to take on ad hoc tasks and wear multiple hats if needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) and Salesforce is a huge plus
