EasyREC Online

Whether your facility uses estimates provide by the state or you report your readings, your generation data is tracked in a complex, state-sponsored electronic emissions tracking platform (GATS, NEPOOL-GIS, WREGIS, etc). We call these platforms the SREC Registry and they are used by every organization that buys, sells or aggregates SRECs or any other energy attribute. As part of our efforts to simplify the process, SRECTrade manages the Registry accounts for all of our EasyREC customers. Once the Registry account is set up and "linked" to your SRECTrade.com account, you can access all of your generation history online in one place.

In order to view your generation, you must first create an account on SRECTrade.com. Once your online account is created AND your facility has begun generating SRECs in the SREC registry, SRECTrade will be able to "link" your registry data to your SRECTrade.com account. Once linked, SRECTrade will update your online account monthly as the Registry is updated. Please feel free to send us a note when you have set up your SRECTrade.com account.

Once your account is linked to the SREC Registry account for your facility, you can log into SRECTrade at any time to see your generation history and the number of SRECs you have by clicking on "My Facilities" after you have logged in. Please note that as an EasyREC customer there is no need to place any orders for the auction. Your SRECs are automatically placed in auction each month.

The image below displays what you will see once you have been linked. At the top you have the basic details of your system. The Facility Name and Capacity (W) are the name of your facility in the Registry and the capacity in watts. The Registry refers to which SREC Registry your set up with. The Facility ID is how your facility is identified in the Registry. The State Registrations are your various State Certification numbers. The Production refers to whether or not you are using "Estimated" or reporting "Actual" or "Meter" production. "Actual" means that you report a monthly total at the end of each month. "Meter" means that you report your total reading all-time and the system automatically deducts your previous reading to calculate the difference since. We prefer this for our customers as it is a safer way to ensure that all of your readings are counted.

The table has several items that are explained here:

  1. Generation Month - Month in which the generation occured... typically two months before the SRECs are created and sold
  2. Generation - This is the amount generated during the month in kilowatt-hours (kWh)
  3. Carryover - The amount that was remaining at the end of the previous month and carried over to this month (kWh)
  4. Total - The generation plus the carryover (kWh)
  5. SRECs - Number of SRECs created that month
  6. Remainder - The amount that will be carried over the following month (kWh)
Remember, 1,000 kWh = 1 SREC. Anything over is carried forward to the next month!
