Illinois SREC Market

Illinois does not currently have a viable SREC market as there is no solar carve-out. However, solar owners in Illinois may be eligible to participate in the Pennsylvania. In particular, facilities sited in the Commonwealth Edison territory in Northern Illinois fall within the PJM region and are eligible for participating in the PA market. This is very relevant to customers sited in Chicago and the surrounding area.
