Renewable Energy Sales Associate

SRECTrade provides cloud-based services to the clean energy industry with an expertise in managing, transacting, and processing environmental incentives. The Company’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of clean energy assets by providing services and technology that minimize the time, cost, and risk associated with achieving benefits and compliance in energy markets. The Company facilitates the brokerage of spot and forward contract Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs), Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), and Alternative Energy Credits (AECs).

The Company’s clients cover a variety of market participants including electricity and energy suppliers, utilities, clean energy project developers, installation companies, and individual commercial and residential asset owners. Since 2008, SRECTrade has been a domain expert in solar and renewable energy markets, bringing a wealth of knowledge and transparency to some of the fastest growing state markets in the clean energy industry.

Who we're looking for

With thousands of clients using our services to register, track and sell the credits produced by their alternative and renewable energy facilities, premium client support and efficient operations are crucial to our business. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and growing our base of channel partner installation companies and commercial solar assets.

We are looking for someone with the skills to generate leads, qualify new business opportunities, and manage a pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities

Establish new installer partner and asset owner relationships

  • Create new leads and opportunities via publicly available data and research
  • Establish contact with new leads and pitch management and brokerage services
  • Track and manage prospects through the sales and onboarding process
  • Improve operational and organizational aspects of the sales process

Grow and provide support of existing accounts

  • Provide premium account support to partners via phone and email
  • Work with partners to ease onboarding and increase referrals
  • Establish relationships with partners by attending trade shows, events, and office visits

Work with brokerage team to grow transaction and management services business

  • Assist brokerage desk with on-boarding and set up of new commercial clients for SRECTrade management services
  • Work with newly on-boarded commercial clients to create new transaction opportunities to refer to brokerage team for execution

What we’re looking for

  • 2-3 years of experience in sales or account management role
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor and a welcome presence with clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office ((Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Salesforce experience are huge pluses
  • Ability to work with team members across multiple business units
  • Ability to understand complex environmental markets and educate prospects
  • Self-starter, strong sense of accountability, and determined to succeed both individually and within a team
  • Can-do attitude. Happy to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. Willing to wear multiple hats if needed
  • Travel for conferences and client meetings as needed
