Connecticut’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) requires all electricity provides to meet a 37% renewable energy requirement by 2030. Through 2027, solar RECs from commercial and residential systems are eligible for incentives through the Connecticut Renewable Energy Solutions program, administered by EnergizeCT. Because SRECs are handled through this state and utility sponsored program, there is no open SREC market in Connecticut.

However, systems located in Connecticut are eligible to participate in Massachusetts’s Class I REC market.
