The Illinois Power Agency (IPA) is in the process of conducting the Illinois Supplemental PV Procurement Program. Under the Supplemental Procurement, the state allocated $30 million for the IPA to procure Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) from PV systems energized on or after January 21, 2015. The IPA will purchase SRECs for 5 years from residential and small commercial solar facilities up to 2 MW in nameplate capacity. The first solicitation was held in June 2015, with subsequent rounds held in November 2015 and March 2016. If necessary, a fourth contingency round may be held in the spring of 2017. Additional information is available below and on the Illinois Solar Energy Association website.

The Illinois Power Agency issues a new Procurement Plan each year. For information and updates regarding the state’s current Procurement Plan, please visit our blog or the IPA website.

Systems located in the ComEd utility territory (including those installed prior to January 21, 2015) can be certified to generate and transact Pennsylvania-eligible SRECs. Submit your application online here.
